Bauera rubioides (Dog Rose)

Small shrub from Mt Barney & Mt Lindesay.  Thin wiry branches are slightly hairy. Whorled leaves. Attractive and prolific pink or purpleflowers with 4 to 10 petals in spring to autumn.

Part shade. Moist, well mulched. Attractive to bees and butterflies.

Rambling/sprawling shrub to 1.5 metres.  Occurs in wet, shaded areas of New South wales, Victoria, Tasmania, and Queensland. (wikipedia) See also http://anpsa.org.au/b-rub.html
