Sunnybank, Brisbane Sunnybank is 14 kilometres south of Brisbane's CBD. It has a high Chinese and Asian population with many street signs bearing Chinese characters, and accordingly is also known for having many of Brisbane's best Asian restaurants and bistros. Homes are mainly modern, brick and tile houses with some units, town houses and remnant post-war weatherboard and timber homes.

The main thoroughfares are McCullough Street and Mains Road, which links Sunnybank to the South East Freeway.
