Sunnybank Hills is an outer southern Brisbane suburb about 14km from Brisbane’s CBD. It's name refers to the slightly more elevated character than neighbouring Sunnybank. Many of the dwellings in this area are stand-alone houses complimented by a small amount of townhouses. The houses are mainly modern brick and tile houses as well as some post-war weatherboard and timber homes.
There are plenty of parks and greenspaces in the area. The suburb has a good variety of infrastructure, several schools, city council library and access to hospitals. The suburb is serviced by buses and the Sunnybank rail station, and has good access to the Southeast Freeway and Mains Road. It is also close to the Nathan campus of Griffith University and the world-class ANZ Stadium. The suburb is serviced by several shopping centres, which include the extensive Sunnybank Hills Shopping Town.
