Bellbowrie is an outlying suburb of Brisbane, located approximately 17km west-southwest of the CBD beyond Kenmore. The suburb began development in the early 1970s, and suffered badly in the 1974 flood. More recently, acreages are being split and more farmland is being used for further developments.
Amenities include the Bellbowrie Plaza Shopping Centre, Bellbowrie public swimming pool and nearby primary and secondary schools.
Unlike many Brisbane suburbs, Bellbowrie has underground power and there are no power poles to be seen.
