Windsor, Brisbane 3km north of Brisbane's CBD, Windsor is a hilly, leafy suburb. It is just north of the Royal Brisbane, Royal Children's and Royal Women's Hospital complex at Herston and therefore popular with health professionals. There is a high proportion of Queenslander-style homes. A massive decorator's centre at the former site of the Brett's lumber-yard offers homewares store, gourmet supermarket, and a retro diner.
Windsor is home to Downey Park where many popular sports are played, including netball, softball and hockey.
Windsor Railway Station is only 8 minutes from Central and many bus
services feed into the inner northern busway for a quicker trip to the
city.
