Group
- The Bridge - University of
Queensland volunteer organisation. The group aims to link students with
the community.
- Brisbane State Emergency
Services (SES)
- Careflight Rescue QLD -
An emergency air medical rescue service provided 24/7, at no cost to
patients. Careflight requires volunteers for general office
administration, assistance with events, donation tin placement and
collection in local shops and businesses, and charity BBQs.
- Gap Creek
Trails Alliance - Meet on the second Saturday of each month to
maintain sustainable trails particularly on the mountain bike trails in
Mt Coot-tha Forest.
- Get
Involved - A Queensland government website with information about
volunteering and getting involved in government. The site also has
information on the Queensland Young Volunteer Awards.

- Help Enterprises - A
community-based, non-profit organisation established in 1968 by
Rotary to assist in the support of people with disabilities. The group
operate from five sites in the greater Brisbane area and employ a fully integrated
workforce of nearly 200 disabled and able-bodied people in a variety of
industries.

Association - (NAFA) is a Brisbane based non-political, non profit

- Volunteer Refugee Tutoring
& Community Support Program (VoRTCS) - A non-profit,
volunteer-run organisation sponsored by the St Vincent de Paul Society.
VoRTCS is based in South Brisbane and operates over a large area of
South East Queensland including Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast.
VoRTCS aims to assist and empower refugee families in Australia.
- Wesley Mission Brisbane - An outreach of the Albert Street Uniting Church, is one of Brisbane's longest-established welfare ministries. It provides care and comfort and support to thousands of men, women and children through a network of Aged Care facilities and community services throughout the greater Brisbane region. - The Light of Lanka Foundation
- Was established in January 2005 as a result of mother of three, Needra Doyles
inspiring trip to Sri Lanka just three days after the tsunami to work as
a volunteer. After sharing her experiences via emails to friends at
home, a group were motivated to form a committee to assist some of the
hundreds of orphaned children.
