AVPQ is a growing community of people who support those actively seeking
nonviolent solutions to conflict. Members share experiences, skills,
information and their time. It is a multicultural, independent,
non-profit association of trained volunteers, offering experiential
workshops that help people to change their lives.

- Wesley Mission Brisbane, an
outreach of the Albert Street Uniting Church, is one of Brisbane's
longest-established welfare ministries. It provides care and comfort and
support to thousands of men, women and children through a network of
Aged Care facilities and community services throughout the greater
Brisbane region.
- White Wreath Association Inc created to bring attention to the increasing number of people who suicide in Australia every year. The White Wreath Association was founded in 1999 by Fanita, the mother of a suicide victim. The association will continue to speak out until changes are made. The White Wreath Association is non-political, non-denominational, anti-discriminatory. Suicide affects all walks of life, all cultures and all ages.
- Young Widows and Widowers Support Group of Brisbane
- Non-denominational self-help group open to those who have been
widowed. The Group believes that sharing in a caring environment by
people with similar life experience helps ease the pain of grief. The
group is open to anyone who is widowed and wishes to become a member
however as a guideline 'young' usually means under 55 years of age at
the time widowhood commenced.
