Musica Sacra was
established in mid-2006 by Brisbane Gregorian scholar Jack Ho after
returning from studying sacred music & Gregorian Chant in Rome and
at Solesmes Abbey in France. The repertoire of Musica Sacra is quite
large. From Gregorian Chant, Palestrina, Bach and Mozart, through to
more modern times of Britten, Durufle and Rutter. Musica Sacra also
gives Gregorian Chant / Early Sacred Music Workshops (and other music
workshops!). Though mostly for primary and secondary schools, we're
happy to give a workshop to any groups of people by request.

the National Servicemen's Memorial Band also known as the Nashos

Queensland State and Municipal Choir) performs with The Queensland
Orchestra, various other choirs and a host of guest artists every year.
It also presents its annual series of concerts to an audience of

Theatre was founded by Brian and Denise Cahill in June 1984, with
the aim of furthering the cultural opportunities for people of all ages
in the northern suburbs of Brisbane. Its inaugural production - My Fair
Lady - was staged in November of that year. Shortly afterwards it spread
to all parts of Brisbane and South-East Queensland.
Each year QMT stages two major musical productions in Brisbane, often
travelling them to other centres; and incidental shows in a variety of
venues in the SE corner. Not content with the works of Gilbert &
Sullivan, QMT includes musical comedy, operetta and concert work in its
varied repertoire and had great success with its production of Les
Miserables. QMT also runs a successful Theatre Restaurant group with
melodramas, murders and music.

- Queensland Youth Choir
(QYC) provides children and young adults - from the
preschool/preparatory year to age 25 - with unique, high quality
choral training and performance opportunities. The program of weekly
rehearsals and an annual camp incorporates aspects of singing,
choreography and stagecraft. The various ensembles that constitute the
Queensland Youth Choir perform a wide variety of repertoire including
contemporary, classical, popular, folk, rock, gospel, jazz, art music,
musical theatre and Australiana.
