Town of 1770 is the closest access point north of Brisbane to the Great
Barrier Reef, and was the first recorded landing place in Queensland of
Captain James Cook in 1770.
Agnes Water is in the Miriam Vale Shire and is a popular tourist
resort on the coast of Queensland. It is 50km off the Bruce Highway
between Bundaberg and Gladstone.
