This beacon was permanently switched off the
following Monday 26th November 2007.
Reasons given were to save energy and reduce harmful
greenhouse gas emissions and the cost of maintenance and replacing
obsolete light fittings.

Forecasts come from the Weather Bureau by remote control and are set at 6am, Noon, 4.30pm and 10pm. Temperature Forecast Steady = No Change Falling = Cooler Rising = Warmer |
